Shari is an active member of the Warsaw Breakfast Optimist Board, and she created and runs the Optimist Essay contest for the club. She is also passionate about her role with the ONE Warsaw Diversity and Inclusion Board. She has a collection of poetry published with photographer John Eric Hawkins titled: The Ancient Shape of Man. She has received the Indiana Arts Commission Individual Artist grants several times for her work in historical fiction, and she writes a regular column for Inkfreenews.com. Shari has three children, a dog, and an evil cat. It won’t surprise you to learn that her passions include literacy, reading, and travel.
